Texas State Theory Test
Learning theory help our students understand music better, and it is an important part of music education. We offer this option for students who would like to get an assessment on the theory topics that have learned.
Recitals
MINT hosts two recitals per school year for our students. The recitals are held here at MINT every winter and spring. This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase what the students have learned throughout the year and helps to build confidence and a strong sense of accomplishment.
Festivals
Festivals are optional events offering for students with at least one year of experience on their instrument. Students learn a piece of music and perform in front of judges to receive a rating and a ribbon! We train our student to start a piece of music and set goals, learn how to polish it during a period of the time to the best their of abilities, and finally, perform it in front of an encouraging group of audience. We believe this is a life skill that all students are learning through music!
Royal Conservatory of Music
The Royal Conservatory Music Development Program provides a recognized national standard of musical success through an effectively sequenced course of study from beginner to advanced levels.
The Music Development Program inspires excellence through individual student assessments and allows students to celebrate accomplishment and track their progress with others across the country. It also supports teachers with high-quality and innovative resources.
MINT Trophy Program
Students collect the ribbons and medals from each festival, exam & recital to earn a MINT Music Achievement trophy! Trophies are presented at the recital! A wonderful way to celebrate the students' achievement!
All Region, All State, Solo & Ensemble, and other Competitive Events
Every year, our students have received high rankings in All Region, All State, and Solo & Ensemble! Our students have also been competition winners at local, state, national, and International levels. If you are interested in any event, please share with us! We will assess the students' abilities and offer appropriate events! Only sky is the limit!
