Sara Foshee-Knoy, Vocalist

San Antonio, Texas native soprano Sara Foshée is a Graduate Artist Certificate in Voice at the University of North Texas under the tutelage of Professor Mary Mills, where she also received her Bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance (2025). 

Ms. Foshée was a first-prize winner at both Texoma NATS and NATS-DFW competitions. She is the recipient of the Competitive Undergraduate Voice Scholarship and the Walter and Anna Scott Music Scholarship. In performance with the UNT University Singers, Ms. Foshee has premiered and recorded the album for Shara Nova’s Infinite Movement (2021) and was the Mezzo-Soprano soloist cover for John Corigliano’s Fern Hill (2023). 

In performance this season with UNT Opera, she will perform the roles of Ciesca (Gianni Schicchi) and Salvation Army Captain (That Hellbound Train). Additional opera credits include Dorabella (Così fan tutte), Suzy and Lolette (La rondine), Lillian (That Hell-Bound Train), and First Lady (Die Zauberflöte) in the UNT opera scenes program (2023). 

With many years of stage experience, Ms. Foshée has become just as equally passionate about teaching the next generation of singers and musicians, as she has performing herself. Starting from mere beginners to adult learners, Ms. Foshée strives to teach her students to problem solve, build confidence on and off stage, and achieve progress across all musical genre
