Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What are your hours?
Monday - Friday 1-8:00pmSaturday: 9:00am -5:00pm, and Sunday 1-6:00pm.

Q: Are my children too young to enroll in music classes/lessons?
It is never too early to start. Research has shown that you don’t have to wait until your child knows how to read to start learning about music. We offer age appropriate classes for children from ages 3 years and older. We encourage you to explore our website to find out more about all the exciting programs that we offer.

Q: Can I enroll for lessons in the middle the year?
Yes, we offer year round open enrollment. Students may enroll for private and group lessons at any time. For group lessons, there are reviews of the previous materials taught at every class; however, if the class has been going on for more than six weeks, we may require students to take a few private lessons to bring you up to speed.

Q: Can I try out lessons for one month?
Yes. You may try out lessons for one month (FOUR lessons) by signing up for Trial Lessons before you decide to enroll for the rest of the year. The fees for the Trial Lessons are slightly higher; however, you do not have to pay the registration fee for Trial Lessons.  Beginning the month of June through July, trial lessons are considered "Summer Private Lessons," the summer private lessons consist of SIX lessons.

Q: Can my child switch teachers if we are unsatisfied?
Yes. It is definitely one of the advantages of choosing to take lessons with us. We have a number of teachers on staff, so we are able to switch teachers for you. However, we encourage you to speak to our Director about your concerns, and we will try to work something out first with your teacher to see if the situation improves.

Q: Who are the teachers?
All of our teachers are trained in major universities around the country. They have years of teaching experiences, performance experiences, and pedagogical trainings. You may view your teacher’s bios by clicking here.

Q: What happens if my child decides to choose another instrument?
The advantage of taking lessons with us is that we offer lessons for many instruments under the same roof. We understand that children may change their mind regarding a specific instrument for various reasons. We encourage you to speak to our director so we can address these issues individually. Most of the time, the best solutions may not involve changing instruments, but to address some of the temporary difficulties the children may have (in music lessons in general, or outside factors). In other case, we are definitely flexible in switching instruments for our students

Q: Can we “sit-in” during my child’s group or private lessons?
Yes. In fact, we encourage parents to sit in and observe lessons.

For our private lessons, we encourage you to sit in for the lesson, or come back 5 minutes prior to the end of the lesson to receive instructions and updates from the teacher. Since we only see the students once per week, parents are our best assistance during the week. Children are most successful in learning instruments when parents are involved.

For our group classes, your attendance is not required.  Since the classes are 55 minutes in length, we have dedicated the last 5 minutes of that hour to the parents so that they you may ask the teacher any questions that you may have or the homework assignments for that week. Again, parents are our best assistance during the week.

Q: Do you offer discounts?
Yes, we offer a 5% discount for paying the yearly tuition in full.  If you are a home school student and are able to come during the earlier time of the afternoon, we offer a 5% off discount on tuition as well.

Q: Can siblings share private lessons?

A: Yes, you may. There will be a $10 fee per lesson for sharing a lesson with a sibling. For example, if your monthly tuition is $156, having one additional child sharing a private lesson, your monthly tuition would be $196.  Per our school policy, the minimum lesson "unit" per student is 30 minutes; therefore, if a sibling is sharing a 45 minute lesson, the monthly tuition would be the 45 minute private lesson tuition ($234) plus $40 sharing fee per month.
