Katherine Ryland has a background in music administration and violin. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from Furman University in Greenville, SC and is pursuing her master’s degree in Music Librarianship at the University of North Texas. During her time at Furman, she worked for the Music Department and helped facilitate the audition process for students, educating families in different music degree options. She has also served as Personnel Manager for the Furman Symphony Orchestra and held multiple box office supervisor positions, including at Brevard Music Center.

Prior to her position as Assistant Director at MINT, Katherine taught violin for several years and understands the importance of pairing a student with the right teacher. She believes that music is an integral part of a child’s development and that it contributes greatly to their mental and emotional growth.
