Kristen Conrad has been studying the violin since the age four. She got her Bachelor of Music in violin performance at Utah State University under the tutelage of Rebecca McFaul. At Utah State, her quartet won the MTNA Chamber Music Competition at the state level. She was a finalist in the Utah State Concerto Competition. She was also concertmaster of the Utah State Symphony Orchestra.

Kristen graduated from Missouri State University with her Master of Music degree in violin performance, under the tutelage of David Hays. While at Missouri State, Kristen was the first violinist of the William T. White Graduate String Quartet. She was concertmaster of both the Missouri State Symphony Orchestra and the Missouri State Chamber Orchestra. She was also a substitute violinist in the Springfield Symphony Orchestra in Missouri. She enjoys playing chamber music immensely. Kristen is a Suzuki trained violin teacher and has been teaching since 2006.
