Rolly Mireles, Guitarist

A native of Dallas, TX, Rolly Mireles began playing the guitar at the age of 13. He started his formal classical guitar studies at Eastfield College with Eddie Healy. Mr. Rolly graduated from Texas Woman’s University where he studied under Carlo Pezzimenti, a direct student of Andrés Segovia. Mr. Rolly received a Bachelor’s degree in music and a Master’s degree in music with an emphasis in music pedagogy.

While at TWU, Mr. Rolly performed as a soloist for the annual Honors recital and Chrysanthemum Tea festival. During his undergraduate studies he was inducted as a member of Pi Kappa Lambda, a national music honor society. He was also a member of the TWU Guitar Ensemble and Wind Symphony. Mr. Rolly has also enjoyed collaborating with vocalist and other instrumentalist. He has participated in master classes with Robert Guthrie, Brian Clément-Foreman and Martin Pedreira.

Mr. Rolly enjoys teaching, and teaches a wide variety of styles to fit the individual interest of his students; he has worked with students from beginner to advanced level. He is familiar with the Royal Conservatory program (RCM), and his students have received superior ratings at the local and state level.
