Arisa Sato, Pianist

Arisa Sato began studying the piano at the age of three in Hong Kong. She earned both her Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Piano Performance from the Hartt School at the University of Hartford. She was active in playing chamber music in both small and big ensembles during the school years. She was awarded scholarships during her college years.


Arisa has been performing the piano in the United States, the United Kingdom, China, Japan, Singapore, Austria, Hungary and Bulgaria, etc, since she was twelve. She held her debut recital at the Central China Normal University in Wuhan, China at the age of 14. She has performed with the Hong Kong Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Guiyang Symphony Orchestra, and the Bulgaria Symphony Orchestra. She has published her first piano album by China RecordCorporation in 2013. She has received prizes in numerous international piano competitions, such as First Prize at the 2018 Asia International Music Contest, Second Prize at the 5th United States Virtuoso Artists International Piano Competition, and Second Place at the Connecticut Bach Festival & Competition.


Arisa has been teaching for quite a few years. She has experience with students from different ages and different levels. She has prepared her students for performances and they had received positive feedbacks. She believes that studying piano is a journey for the students’ personal growth in learning about themselves. She is committed to helping her students to develop not only techniques but also musical expression. She also help students to build confidence and discipline in playing the piano. She hopes students can explore joy in piano playing.
